A Journey of Excellence and Achievement
Alex Tedrow is a Herbert Presidential Scholar from the class of 2021 and an IU Jacobs School of Music alumnus. He serves as Staff Music Arranger for the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own”, is the sole composer of this year’s fanfare for the presidential inauguration, and is a freelance composer for nationally-aired PBS documentaries.

Graduation Year: 2012
After college, Joshua attended New York University School of Medicine and got his M.D. He now works as a head & neck oncologic and microvascular surgeon at Norton Cancer Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.
Graduation Year: 2010
After graduation, Gabriela got her Ph.D. at Florida International University. Gabriela now lives in Indianapolis and works for the Indiana University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and for the Riley Hospital for Children as a licensed clinical psychologist.

Emily is originally from Lebanon, Indiana. After college, Emily lived in Fishers, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in May of 2024. She began her residency in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in July of 2024.
